 The experiment was conducted at the experimental field of  RARS, Jessore to develop a disease management package for lentil in a split-split plot design. There were four main treatments, two subplot treatments, three sub-subplot treatments with one control. Among the treatments Poultry litter x Provax x Rovral performed the highest 1000 seed weight (12.13 g), plot yield (82 kg/6m2), with moderate disease control.

This experiment was under taken to develop a disease management package against the diseases of lentil.

This experiment was conducted at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jessore during Rabi 2014-15. The experiment was laid out in a Split-split plot design with three main blocks, where main plot was 10m x 5m. Each main plot was then divided into two subplot (SP1) 2m x 10m, where as each subplot divided into three sub-sub plot (SP2) 3m X 2m. The unit plot to plot distance was 50 cm and 1.5m block to block distance. Four soil treating material were applied at the main plot treatment such as; M1=Poultry litter (5t/ha), M2= Cowdung (15 t/ha), M3= Mustard Oil cake (1 t/ha) and M4=Trichocompost (3 t/ha). On the other hand two seedling spray material were placed as subplot treatment in each main plot; S1= Provax (2gm/l) and S2= Bavistin (2.5gm/l). Finally three chemical fungicide were used to control the stemphylium disease in each unit plot; P1=Rovral, P2=Companion and P3=Secure.  Control was placed as a main plot treatment as T5. PL, CD and MOC were applied to the soil before 21 days of seed sowing for proper decomposition into the soil and trichocompost was applied 3 days before sowing. Bavistin and Provax sprayed to the root zone after 15 days of seedling germination, 3 times at 15 days interval. Secure, Companion and Rovral were sprayed after the first appearance of the disease symptom of stemphylium blight. BARI masur1 was used as experimental material. Plants were allowed to grown with necessary fertilizer and other intercultural operations as recommended by PRC, BARI. During the growing period the plots were inspected regularly to record the incidence of foot and root rot disease from seedling to maturity stage of the plant. Dead plants were removed after counting. Stemphylium blight was rated on a 0-5 scoring scale (Bakr and Ahmed, 1992, Bakr et al., 2000). The rating scale was explained as 0= no infection (HR), 1= few scattered leaf infection but no twig blighted (MR), 2= 5-10% leaf infected and or few scattered twig blighted (MR),3=11-20% leaflet infected and /or 1-5% twigs blighted (MS), 4=21-50% leaflet infected and /or 6-10% twigs blighted (S) and 5=above 51% leaflet infected and /or more than 10% twigs blighted (HS). Data on yield contributing characters such as 1000 seed weight, number of pods per plant and finally yield were taken and statistically analyzed.

 The highest number. of dead plant (131.3) was obtained from one of the control plot (M5XS2XP1), whereas the lowest (40.67) was recorded from M1 X S1 X P3 (PL X P X S) treated plot, and three other plots like M1XS1XP1 (PLXPXR), M3XS1XP3 (MOCXPXS) and M4XS1XP2 (TCCXPXC) performed statistically similar result such as 53.33, 53.67 and 53.67 respectively with M1 X S1 X P3.  In case of Stemphylium disease incidence it was highest in all the control plot (3.00-3.667) along with M4XS2XP1(TCCXBR) treated plot(3.00) and M1XS1XP1 (PLXPXR) performed the lowest disesase incidence which was statistically similar with all the plots except M3XS1XP1 (MOC X P XR), M3XS2XP1 (MOC X BX R) and all control plots. The highest 1000 seed weight was 12.13 gm obtained from M1 X S1 X P1 (PL X P X R) treated plot, regarding this parameter all the treated plots performed statistically similar results except M1XS2XP1(PLXBXR), and M2XS2XP2 (CD X B X S). The lowest 1000 seed weight was recorded from  control plot (7.33 gm). Finally M1 X S1 X P1 (PL X P X R) treated plot performed the best result in yield per plot (.82 kg), which were statistically similar with PL X P X C(0.74kg), PL X P X S (0.76kg),  PLXB XC (0.79kg),  PL X B X S (0.79 kg),  treated plot. On the contrast the lowest yield per plot had been recorded from one of the control plot (0.41 kg) and performed statistically similar result with all other control plots along with M4XS2XP3(0.48kg), M4XS1XP2 (0.52kg),M3XS2XP1(0.51kg), M2XS2XP2(0.49kg) and M2XS2XP2(0.52kg)

The study revealed that one of the combinations such as Poultry litter x Provax x Rovral has significant effect in increasing yield of lentil and suppression of both the diseases; stemphylium blight and foot and root rot, compare with other treatments as well as control
