The experiment was conducted at Spices Research Centre, Shibgonj, Bogra during November 2012 to March 2013 to find out the effectness of different fungicides in controlling stem gall of coriander. Eight fungicides namely Bavistin, Suncozeb, Sunvit, Cabriotop, Tilt-250 EC, Compenion, Provax, Forum-MZ along with control (no spraying) were used in this study. The same fungicide was used as seed treatment, soil drenching and foliar application. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. The lowest percent (8.99) of disease infection was recorded from the fungicide cabriotop and the highest (59.11) percent of disease infection was recorded from control plot. The lowest disease severity (1) and lowest PDI (22.5%) resulted highest yield (1.95 t/ha) was found from the treatment Cabriotop. The highest (4) disease severity and the highest (78%) PDI as well as lowest seed yield was observed in the control plot.

To find out the efficacy of fungicide(s) in controlling gall of coriander.
The experiment was conducted at Spices Research Centre, BARI, Bogra during November 2012 to March 2013. BARI Coriander-1 was sown on 14 November 2012 in plot of size 3 m x 2.1 m with spacing 30 cm x10 cm. The design was RCBD with three (3) replications. The treatments were as T1=Bavistin 50 DF, T2= Suncozeb 80 WP, T3= Sunvit 50 WP, T4= Cabriotop, T5 = Tilt-250 EC, T6 =Compenion, T7= Provax- 200 WP, T8= Forum-MZ and T9= control (No spraying). Soil drenching was done in two times (first time soil drenching was done before seed sowing and second time soil drenching was done on 23 days after seed sowing) and foliar sprays were done within 10 days interval in four times (first foliar spray was done 43 days after seed sowing, second foliar spray was done 53 days after seed sowing, third foliar spray was done 63 days after seed sowing and fourth foliar spray was done 73 days after seed sowing) beginning first appearance of the disease symptom. Data were taken every 10 days after application of treatment. The land was fertilized with cowdung 5 t/ha and N70P25K50 kg/ha. The entry quantity of cowdung, P and K were applied as basal dose. The N fertilizer was used two split. Data on total number of plants/m2, number of healthy plants/m2 ,number of gall infected plants/m2, number of gall infected branches/plant, percent disease infection, disease severity (0-5 scale) and percent disease index(PDI), percent disease reduction over control and yield (t/ha) were recorded. Harvesting of the crop was done on 13 March 2013.

The disease severity was lowest (1) in cabriotop where as the highest (4) was found in control. The lowest (22.5%) PDI was found of cabriotop and the highest (78%) was found in control. The lowest (11.67%) percent disease reduction over control was found in bavistin where as the highest (62.94%) percent of disease reduction over control was found in cabriotop. Cabriotop gave the best result among the nine treatments when used as seed treatment, soil drenching and foliar application. The highest yield (1.95 t/ha) was obtained from cabriotop and the lowest yield (0.45 t/ha) was found in control.
seed treatment, soil drenching and foliar spray by cabriotop can reduce galling incidence as well as disease severity of coriander and increase the seed yield. This is the first year result. The study need to be repeated in second year for confirmation of result.
