ARMIS :: Welcome

To develop high yielding winter tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) variety(s) with lower reaction to disease to major diseases and insect-pests.

Six promising M6 mutants along with two check varieties were put into zonal yield trials at BINA substations Ishurdi and Rangpur during winter of 2001-02. Unit plot size was 5 m x 4 m having spacing of 50 cm between both rows and plants. Recommended cultural practices were followed as and when necessitate. Data on various plant parameters and yield attributes of the mutant lines and check were recorded and analyzed.

Three mutant lines (TM-110,TM-134 and TM-130) have shown superior performance over other mutants and check varieties over locations.
