Objective of this study was to development of genotypes similar to recurrent parents and better than donor parents. Ten BC5 F1 s were grown along with their recurrent and donor parents. Comparing with the recurrent and donor parents near isogenic lines (NILs) were isolated.

  1. Development of genotypes similar to recurrent parents and better than donor parents.

Ten BC5 F1 s were grown along with their recurrent and donor parents. Thirty-day- old seedlings were transplanted @ single seedling with a spacing of 25 x 15 cm. Fertilizers @ 80:60:40:20 kg NPK/ha were used with split application of N (40+20+20) at 15,30,50. Total amount of P, K & S were applied at the time of final land preparation.
