Bacterial leaf blight is a major disease in rice growing seasons in Bangladesh. This study was carried out with the objective to find out the genotype(s) suitable for Bangladesh condition/specific location(s) against BB of rice. Ten genotypes of BB resistant pyramid lines were collected from IRRI and evaluated in different AEZs of Bangladesh viz. Gazipur, Sonagazi, Barisal, and Rajshahi against BB under natural conditions during 2009-10. Thirty five day old genotypes were grown at different BRRI regional station farm following RCB design with maintaining proper agronomic practices. The materials were exposed to natural infection and data on disease incidence and disease severity as well as their respective yield were recorded. Most of the pyramid lines showed resistant reaction against the BB pathogen under natural condition in different AEZs except IRBB59 (xa5, xa13, Xa21) and IRBB64 (Xa4, xa5, Xa7, Xa21). The susceptible check (Purbachi) showed very sensitive reaction in all the locations and seasons.
