Study of Biological Control Jute Pathogens (fungi ) by Different Trichoderma Sp.

Abstract/ Executive Summary:

The experiment was conducted in laboratory of Pathology department. to find out suitable methods for controlling fungal organism. The highest % germination was recorded in T₅ 40gm culture media ( wheat bran) of T. viride, T. hirzianum for both T. viride (92%) and T. hirzianum (93%). Percent diseases incidence was found lowest in T₅ where 20gm wheat bran culture media were applied. The lowest germination ( 80%) was recorded in T₁where only R. solani culture media were applied in soil. The highest disease incidences were recorded in the same treatment.

Objectives:

Methodology:

The experiment was conducted in Plant pathology laboratory and the experiment was set in dual culture method. Five mm b;lock culture media of 3 sp. of Trichoderma were placed aseptically on 90 mm PDA plates opposite to each other at 70 mm apart with 4 replications for each jute fungal pathogens. PDA plates inoculated only with five mm diameter culture block of any particular jute pathogens served as control.
