A seed production program was conducted at different research stations of BJRI during May 2013 to March 2014. The objective of the program was to produce quality seed which are then distributed among the farmers for late jute seed production to meet their seed demand. The program comprised of three deshi jute varieties (viz. CVL-1, BJRI Deshi pat-5 and BJRI Deshi pat-6), three tossa jute varieties (viz. O-9897, BJRI Tossa pat-4 and BJRI Tossa pat-5) and three kenaf varieties (viz. HC-2, HC-95 and BJRI Kenaf-3). A total of 6356 kg seed of different varieties of jute and kenaf were produced.

To produce quality seed which are then distributed among the farmers for late jute seed production to meet their seed demand.

The program was conducted at different research station of BJRI during May 2013 to March 2014. The program consisted each of three varieties of deshi jute (viz. CVL-1, BJRI Deshi pat-5 and BJRI Deshi pat-6), Tossa jute (viz. O-9897, BJRI Tossa pat-4 and BJRI Tossa pat-5) and kenaf (viz. HC-2, HC-95 and BJRI Kenaf-3). Seeds were produced by BJRI recommended production technology. Location wise targeted area.

A total of 6356.kg seeds of different varieties of jute and kenaf were produced. Location wise seed production of different varieties of jute and kenaf has been achived.The quality TLS seeds were produced at different research stations. The produced TLS seeds were distributed among the farmers for seed production to meet their seed demand and ensure quality seed.
