Two experiments were carried out at the Agronomy Field Laboratory, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh in transplant Amman and Boor seasons 2008-2009 with objectives 1) To find out the performance of transplant Amman and Boor rice varieties 2) To find out the effect of urea super granules (USG) on the yield and yield attributes of transplant aman and boro rice varieties 3) To find out the effect of poultry manure (PM) on the performance of transplant aman and boro rice varieties 4) To evaluate the combined effect of USG and PM; and Prilled urea and PM on the yield and yield attributing characters of transplant aman and boro rice varieties. Urea super granules on the growth, yield and quality of transplant aman rice, Effect of variety and poultry manure of boro rice; BRRI dhan46 for TA, BRRI dhan28 and BRRI29 for boro season were included in this study.

1) To find out the performance of transplant aman and boro rice varieties.
2) To find out the effect of urea supergranules (USG) on the yield and yield attributes of transplant aman and boro rice varieties.
3) To find out the effect of poultry manure (PM) on the performance of transplant aman and boro rice varieties.
4) To evaluate the combined effect of USG and PM; and Prilled urea and PM on the yield and yield attributing characters of transplant aman and boro rice varieties.
The experiments were 1) Effect of variety, poultry manure and urea super granules on the growth, yield and quality of transplant aman rice and 2) Effect of variety, poultry manure and urea super granules on the growth, yield and quality of boro rice. Two rice varieties viz. BRRI dhan41 and BRRI dhan46 for transplant aman and BRRI dhan28 and BRRI dhan29 for boro season, were included in this experiment. Data were recorded on same parameters in both experiments. In experiment-1, variety BRRI dhan41 gave higher yield than BRRI dhan46. For fertilizer effect, the highest grain yield (5.17 t ha-1) was obtained from full dose of USG and other inorganic fertilizers, which was similar to full dose of USG (1.8g) + PM at 2.5 t ha-1 followed by full dose of PU + PM at 2.5 t ha-1. The lowest yield was obtained in the control treatment. For treatment combinations the highest grain yield was obtained in BRRI dhan41 × 1.8g USG and other inorganic fertilizers and the lowest one was the control treatment. In experiment-2, variety BRRI dhan29 gave higher grain yield than BRRI dhan28. For fertilizer effect, the highest grain yield (6.16 t ha-1) was found from 2.7g USG and the lowest grain yield (3.89 t ha-1) was obtained from control treatment. On the other hand inorganic fertilizers which was similar to 2.7g USG + PM at 5 t ha-1.

The highest grain yield (6.16 t ha-1) was counted from 2.7g USG and other inorganic fertilizers which was similar to 2.7g USG + PM at 5 t ha-1. The lowest grain yield (3.89 t ha-1) was obtained from control treatment. For interaction, the highest grain yield (6.28 t ha-1) was found in BRRI dhan29× 2.7g USG and other inorganic fertilizers. The lowest grain yield (3.59 t ha-1) was found in control treatment. The combined effect of USG and PM; and Prilled urea and PM on the yield and yield attributing characters of transplant aman and boro rice grown effectively.
