Preliminary yield trial was carried out to initial evaluation of agronomically desirable and high yield potential anther culture derived lines. During Boro/13-14 season seven and eight anther culture derived advanced breeding lines along with two standard checks were evaluated as PYT-1 and PYT-2, respectively. On the basis of early maturity and high yield potential four and five entries were selected from PYT-1  and PYT-2 , respectively. Physicochemical properties of these materials were determined by GQN division, BRRI. Based on the agronomic and physicochemical properties 5 lines were selected as promising materials .

To select agronomically desirable and high yield potential materials

During Boro/13-14 season seven and eight anther culture derived advanced breeding lines along with two standard checks were evaluated as PYT-1 and PYT-2, respectively. Forty and 41 days old single seedlings were transplanted at in PYT-1 and PYT-2, respectively. Each entry was grown in a 5.4m × 8 rows having 25 cm × 15 cm spacing using single seedling/hill with three replications.  Fertilizers were applied at 120:25:40:10:4 kg/ha of N, P, K, S, Zn and standard agronomic practices were followed.
