A study was carried out through culture solution to find out cold tolerant rice germplasms at seedling stage at Bangladesh Rice Research Institute. The mean score was considered for the selection of a particular genotype. Rice genotypes having a mean score of <5 were considered as tolerant to low temperature at seedling stage. Among 200 genotypes, some 41 genotypes (BRRI Acc no-208, BRRI Acc no-210, BRRI Acc no-212, BRRI Acc no-217, BRRI Acc no-222, BRRI Acc no-233, BRRI Acc no-244, BRRI Acc no-247, BRRI Acc no-253, BRRI Acc no-254, BRRI Acc no-255, BRRI Acc no-256, BRRI Acc no-271, BRRI Acc no-273, BRRI Acc no-275, BRRI Acc no-288, BRRI Acc no-296, BRRI Acc no-305, BRRI Acc no-306, BRRI Acc no-307, BRRI Acc no-311, RRI Acc no-318, BRRI Acc no-319, BRRI Acc no-330, BRRI Acc no-331, BRRI Acc no-335, BRRI Acc no-337, BRRI Acc no-339, BRRI Acc no-363, BRRI Acc no-367, BRRI Acc no-369,BRRI Acc no-389, BRRI Acc no-395, BRRI Acc no-400, BRRI Acc no-415, BRRI Acc no-433, BRRI Acc no-439, BRRI Acc no-441, BRRI Acc no-471, BRRI Acc no-472, BRRI Acc no-473) showed visual score 3 to 5 that is tolerant to moderately tolerant. Above all, BRRI acc no-472 was the most tolerant which showed mean score of 3. However, other genotypes showed visual score 7 to 9 that is susceptible to highly susceptible.
