This study was undertaken at BRRI Gazipur in Boro season during 2006-07.The objective of this study was to identify suitable A, B & R lines on the basis of yield and other morphological characteristics. Among the 11 maintainers highest yield/plant was observed in IR79155B (28.81g) followed by BRRI 9B (24.42g) and IR80156B (24.13g). Highest panicle length was found in IR73328B and BRRI3B followed by IR79155B. Lowest panicle length was found in Jin23B. Maximum spikelet no/panicle was found in IR73328B. Highest spikelet fertility was found in BRRI9B followed by BRRI1B, II32B and BRRI3B. BRRI9B possessed the highest 1000 grain weight (27.1g). Highest panicle exertion rate (PER) and stigma exertion rate (SER) was observed in BRRI 1A (80.01% & 86.68%) followed by IR79155A (71.34, 66.32). Out crossing rate was varied from 0.33 to 7.19 and the highest was found in IR58025A followed by BRRI 1A. Sterility found statistically similar in case of seed setting. Highest angle of floret opening was found in BRRI 9A followed by II32A, Jin23A and IR73328A. Jin23A possessed highest duration of floret opening.

This study was undertaken at BRRI Gazipur in Boro season during 2006-07. Thirty (30) days old seedlings of 11 A, 11 B & 36 R lines were transplanted in a 2 m 2 plot using CRD with the spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm. Fertilizer dose @ 270:130:110:70:10 Urea- TSP-MP- Gypsum- Zn SO4 kg/ha were applied. Water, weeds, insects & pest management were done when it is required.

All the CMS lines for days to 50% flowering varied from 112-135 days. Gan 46A was the earliest (112 days) among the CMS lines. Highest no. of tiller /hill was observed in D.Shan A .
