This study was carried out at BRRI Gazipur in Aman season during 2010.The objective of this study was to evaluation of locally developed and exotic CMS lines and their maintainer lines. Seventy six (76) CMS lines along with their respective maintainer lines. Two-three pair of each CMS and maintainer lines obtained from paired crosses were planted side by side in a single row plots having 15 hills /row with the spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm.  All the CMS lines were maintained by hand crossing for seed increasing and genetic purity.

This study was undertaken at BRRI Gazipur in Aman season during 2010. Seventy six (76) CMS lines along with their respective maintainer lines. Two-three pair of each CMS and maintainer lines obtained from paired crosses were planted side by side in a single row plots having 15 hills /row with the spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm.  Each pair of A and B lines were covered with a net to protect out crossing from neighboring plants.

Overall performance of the experiment was good but during interim period of seed settings severe rain occurred and created severe fungal diseases at clipped panicles and ultimately reduces seed settings.
