Objective of the study was to select agronomically desirable and high yield potential materials. During T. Aman/12, forty advanced breeding materials were grown with standards checks. Thirteen materials were selected depending on the duration and yield with checks. During Boro/12-13 season, fourteen materials were selected from 138 advanced breeding materials depending on the duration and comparable yield with checks.

To select agronomically desirable and high yield potential materials.

A total of 40 advance breeding materials were grown in T. Aman /12 season standard checks for observational trial. Sixty six selected breeding materials from Boro/11-12 were grown in Boro/12-13 season for observational trials in four groups with different standard checks. Each progeny was grown in a 5.4m × 4 rows using single seedling/hill. Fertilizers were applied at 120:25:40:10:4 kg/ha of N, P, K, S, Zn and standard agronomic practices were followed.
