 The experiment was conducted at BRRI Gazipur with the following objective- to select agronomically desirable and high yield potential breeding lines. During T. Aman/1999, BR(BE)6448-6-1-1 and  BR(BE)6452-65-3-1 were selected depending on the duration and comparable yield with checks. During Boro/13-14, only one material BR6158-RWBC2-1-2-1-1-1 was selected depending on the duration and comparable yield with checks.

To select agronomically desirable and high yield potential breeding lines

During T. Aman/1999, 3 entries from rice wheat backcross and 12 seed culture derived advanced breeding materials were grown in one OT with three standards checks. During Boro/1999-2000, 17 materials were grown in another OT  with standard checks. Each progeny was grown in a 5.4m × 4 rows using single seedling/hill. Fertilizers were applied at 120:25:40:10:4 kg/ha of N, P, K, S, Zn and standard agronomic practices were followed to run the experiment.
