The study was conducted to test the effects of bolus (Co, Fe, Vitamin B1, B12 & Choline Bitartrate) and injectable solution (Vitamin B12 plus butaphosphan) on growth performances of bull. Eighteen growing bulls were equally divided into 3 groups and were fed ad libitum UMS, supplemented with a concentrate mixture at a rate of 1% of body weight fo a period of 90 days. Keeping one group control (T0), the other groups were either injected with Vitamin B12 plus butaphosphan solution fortnightly at the rate of 15cc/animal (T1) or fed tablet (Co, Fe, Vit. B1, B12 & Choline Bitartrate) at a rate of 2 boli/d to each animal in 3 consecutive days of a week (T2). At the end of experiment no significant difference was observed in feed intake (DM intake) and nutrient intake as well as nutrient digestibility (P>0.05). On an average, animals under T1 and T2 group gained 11 and 15% more growth than that of the control. Moreover, values for feed conversion ratio (FCR) indicate that treated groups consumed less feed than the control to gain at a similar rate; though, difference in FCR value is not significant. Although results indicated a non-significant improved growth in treated group than the control, but the diet containing required level of macro and micro minerals specially those are needed for microbial synthesis of vitamins may eliminate this effect. Therefore, further trial is required considering balancing of minerals in the diets.

B1, B12 & Choline Bitartrate) at a rate of 2 boli/d to each animal in 3 consecutive days of a week (T2). All animals received adlibitum (at least 10% in excess of requirement) urea molasses straw (UMS; 3% urea, 15% Molasses and 82% straw on DM basis) as the basal diet. They also received a concentrate mixture at the rate of 1.0 % of their live weight. The animals were reared in face-out stanchion barn for the whole experimental period except the period when 12 animals were transferred to metabolic crates for digestibility trial, but after a period of 15 days these animals were returned to their previous place. Animals were cleaned and washed prior to their morning meal daily and were weighed fortnightly. The digestibility trial was conducted taking 3 animals from each group randomly. These 9 animals were transferred to metabolic crates for feces and urine collection. All samples were taken out from the freeze and thawed. After thawing seven samples of feces and refusal (7days) from an animal were mixed thoroughly, and a composite sample was taken for the determination of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM) and crude protein (CP) on fresh basis. The other part of the sample was dried in an oven to determine acid detergent fibre (ADF). The data from growth and digestibility trial were analyzed using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) in SPSS 11.5. Means were compared using Least Significant Difference (LSD) test where necessary.
