Five parental lines were used in the crossing program. A total of 1712 buds crossed from which 1181 siliquae were developed and total of 2472 seeds were produced 68% crosses were successful.

To create genetic variability and accumulate favorable genes from several parents into a single cross.

Five parental lines (Rai-5, Daulat, BARI Sarisha-10, BARI Sarisha-11 and BARI Sarisha-16) were used to achieve the objectives. The seeds of different parental lines of the experiment were sown two times on 20 November and 30 November 2013 to synchronize the flowering for hybridization. In the 1s1 sowing of the experiment, the entries flowered on 28 December 2013 to 10 January 2014. In the 2nd sowing, the entries flowered on 10 January 2014 to 20 January 2014. The hybridization has been made with the following cross combinations. Rai-5x Daulat, Rai-5 x BARI Sarisha-10, Rai-5 x BARI Sarisha-11, Rai-5x BARI Sarisha-16, Daulat x BARI Sarisha-10, Daulat x BARI Sarisha-11, Daulat x BARI Sarisha-16, BARI Sarisha-10 x BARI Sarisha-11, BARI Sarisha-10 x BARI Sarisha-16 and BARI Sarisha-11 x BARI Sarisha-16. Inter cultural operations were done when necessary. Hybridization was started on 05 January 2014.

A total of 2472 successful crossed seeds were collected from ten cross combinations. Maximum number of successful cross seeds were found in Daulat x BARI-Sarisha-11 cross combination.
