Annual Research Report-2017-2018, Pulses Research Centre, BARI, Ishurdi, Pubna, Bangladesh
Results of the experiment are presented. Different genotypes of mungbean showed significant variation among the parameters except pods per plant. The highest plant height was found in BMX-08011-2 (76.5cm) and the lowest in BARI Mung-5 (65.8 cm). The genotype BMXK1-09012-1gave the highest (4.03 g) 100 seed weight followed by BARI Mung-6. The highest yield was found in BMXK1-09015-2(1314 kg/ha) followed by BMXK1-09012-1 and the lowest yield was found in BARI Mung-5. In GGE biplot, PC1 and PC2 explained about 99.58% of total variation. The horizontal axis (PC1) indicates the main effect of genotype while the vertical axis (PC2) shows the interaction of genotype and environment which is the basic criterion for judging genotypic stability. Polygon of Biplot analysis showed that among three location two locations are in sector 2 and 1 location felt in sector 1. Among three locations Madaripur have the highest environmental vector followed by Ishurdi. Among five genotypes all are corner of the polygon i.e. these are vertex genotypes. Based on GGE biplot analysis BMXK1-09012-1 and BMX-08011-2 could be selected for further trials. All the entries showed less reaction to MYMV disease. Considering location and highest mean yield, the genotypes BMXK1-09012-1, BMX-08011-2 and BMXK1-09015-2 selected for further evaluation.
