Fusarium and bacterial wilt disease are caused by soil-borne pathogens and are very difficult to control by any chemical means. An experiment was carried out to during 2019-2020 to mitigate wilt disease of Brinjal by using microbial products. BARI Bt Brinjal-3 was used for evaluation of four microbial products, namely Decoprima (Trichoderma sp. + Geobacillus + Steptomyces), Monaxe (Pseudomonas sp.), Biofungicide (BAU), Tricho-compost (BARI) and two biologiacal agentsT.erinaceum and Bacillus sp. Significant difference was obtained among the microbial products for disease incidence and yield. Decoprima and Biofungicide (BAR) were the best microbial products for soil treatment to control bacterial and fusarium wilt disease of brinjal.

The experiment will be carried out to observe the efficacy of microbial products against fusarium and bacterial wilt of Brinjal

This study was done at the research field of Biotechnology Division, BARI, Gazipur during 2019-20 cropping season. The previous crop was Bt brinjal with severe infection of wilt disease. BARI Bt Brinjal-3 was used for evaluation of the following four microbial products and two newly isolated biological agent:

1. Decoprima (Trichodermasp. + Geobacillus + Steptomyces)

2. Monaxe (Pseudomonas sp.)

3. Biofungicide (BAU)

4. Tricho-compost (BARI)

5. Trichoderma erinaceum

6. Bacillus sp.

Soil was treated before 7 days of seedling transplantation and 30 days after seedling transplantation. The experiment was carried out following Randomized Complete Block design with three replications. The unit plot size was 3.2m x 2.1m. Seed were grown on sterilized soil in net house to have healthy seedlings on November 10, 2019 Healthy seedlings were transplanted in main field on December 08, 2019.Data were recorded on incidence of disease and yield (t/ha). The recorded data were analyzed statistically with R software.
