Fusarium and bacterial wilt are a devastating diseases of brinjal caused by soil-borne pathogens and very difficult to control by any chemical means. BARI Bt Brinjal-3(susceptible variety) was used for the evaluation of three microbial products with seven treatments, namely Decoprima (Trichoderma sp. + Geobacillus + Steptomyces), Monaxe (Pseudomonas), and Biopesticide (BAU) (T.harzianum. Significant difference was obtained among the seven treatments for disease incidence and yield. Twice application of Decoprima and Monaxe showed statistically the lowest disease incidence and the highest yield.

The experiment was carried out to observe the efficacy of microbial products against fusarium and bacterial wilt of Brinjal

This study was done in the research field of Plant Pathology Division, BARI, Gazipur during 2018-19 cropping season. The previous crop was brinjal with a severe infection of wilt disease. BARI Bt Brinjal-3 was used for the evaluation of the following three microbial products: 1. Decoprima (Trichoderma sp. + Geobacillus + Steptomyces) 2. Biopesticide (BAU) (T. harzianum) 3. Monaxe (Pseudomonas). The experiment was carried out following a Randomized Complete Block design with three replications. The unit plot size was 3.2m x 2.1m. Seed was grown on sterilized soil in net house to have healthy seedlings on October 05, 2018. Healthy seedlings were transplanted in the main field on November 07, 2018. Treatments were given in soil for controlling fusarium and bacterial wilt of brinjal as follow:

T1 =Decoprima (7 days before seedling transplanting)

T2=Decoprima (7 days before seedling transplanting + 30 days after seedling transplanting)

T3=Biopesticide (7 days before seedling transplanting)

T4= Biopesticide + Monaxe (7 days before seedling transplanting)

T5= Monaxe (7 days before seedling transplanting)

T6= Monaxe (7 days before seedling transplanting + 30 days after seedling transplanting)

T7= Control

Data were recorded on the incidence of disease and yield (t/ha). The recorded data were analyzed statistically with MSTAT-C.

Twice (7days before and 30 days after seedling transplanting) application of Decoprima and Monaxe showed an almost 60 % disease reduction and 20% yield increase. Considering the above facts Decoprima and Monaxe are good options for controlling a serious disease like the wilt disease of brinjal.
