The two sets of experiments were conducted in RARS, BARI, Burirhat, Rangpur during the 2018 cropping season. The experiment was laid out following Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 (three) replications or blocks having a block to block distance of 1.5 m and plot to plot distance 1.0 m within a block. To protect water movement from one plot to another plot separate border lines ensured in between two blocks even in between two plots within a block. Unit plot size was 1.8 m x 1.8 m having spacing 0.60 cm x 0.60 cm i.e. 3 lines / plot and 3 plants/line. The treatments were as follows:

Seeds of the most popular but susceptible to bacterial wilt Indian hybrid cultivar, Sukanna were collected from Panchagarh and the sowing date was February 05, 2018. Twelve days old seedlings were again transplanted in another seedbed maintaining proper distance. Necessary actions were taken as per the experiment. Finally, well-developed seedlings were transplanted on March 03, 2018, following design. Soil drenching with respective chemical started from April 02, 2018.
In the present year 2019, two sets of experiment was considered where, in between two sets, treatments combination was same only organic matter was different i.e. in one set, mustard oil cake (MOC) @ 1.0 t ha-1 was used and in another one poultry refuse (PR) @ 5.0 t ha-1 was used. So treatments were, T1: MOC @ 1.0 t ha-1 /PR @ 5.0 t ha-1 at 20 DBT + SBP @ 20 Kg/ha BFLP + Furadan 5G @ 40 Kg/ha (50% BFLP + 50% as ring application at 55-60 DAT) + SD with Kasumin 2% 3 times @ 1.0 ml/lit. water and Micra 72 WP 3 times @ 3 g/lit. water alternatively (Starting from 30 DAT; and rest are at 15 DI), T2: MOC @ 1.0 t ha-1 /PR @ 5.0 t ha-1 at 20 DBT + SBP @ 20 Kg/ha BFLP + Furadan 5G @ 40 Kg/ha (50% BFLP + 50% as ring application at 55-60 DAT) + SD with Krosin-AG 10 SP and Amister Top 325 SC 3 times @ 1 ml / lit water alternatively (Starting from 30 DAT; and rest are at 15 DI), one control where no management practice against bacterial wilt is considered.
Seeds of most popular but susceptible to bacterial wilt Indian hybrid cultivar, 948 were collected from Panchagarh and the sowing date was February 08, 2019. Twelve days old seedlings were again transplanted in another seedbed maintaining proper distance. Necessary actions were taken as per the experiment. Finally, well-developed seedlings were transplanted on March 12, 2019, following design. Soil drenching with respective chemicals started on April 10, 2019. The unit plot was 6.0 m x 3.0 m and others were the same as the 2018 cropping season.
The fertilizer dose developed by BARI was followed. Other intercultural operations were done properly. Data on yield (t ha-1) and plant damaged by bacterial wilt disease were recorded following standard procedure. The incidence of disease in terms of a percent was calculated of each plot by the following formula:
Disease Incidence (%) = 100
Data on different parameters were analyzed following statistically computer package MSTAT-C and means were compared using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT).
