Field experiments were conducted at the RARS Jashore (AEZ-11) and Jamalpur (AEZ-9) during the year of 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. The initial soil samples, collected before establishing the experiment from a depth of 0-15 cm was analyzed in the laboratory following standard methods. Initial values of some important soil chemical parameters of the experimental soil are presented.
Experiments were laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Eight different treatments viz. T1: 100% NPKSZnB (STB), T2: T1+ 25% N, T3: T1+ 25% NP, T4: T1+ 25% NK, T5: T1+ 25% PK, T6: T1+ 25% NPK, T7: 75% of T1,T8: Native fertility were selected for different plots randomly. The unit plot size was 4.2m x 3.0m. Mustard crop (cv. BARI Sarisha-14) was used as test crop forthe first component of the pattern. Mustard seeds were sown in line with 30 cm row to row on November 09, 2018 at Jashore and November 05, 2018 at Jamalpur.
Fertilizer N-P-K-S-Zn-B were supplied from urea, TSP, MoP, gypsum, zinc sulphate and boric acid, respectively. All PKSZnB and 1/3 of N were applied at the time of final land preparation. The remaining two third of N were applied as top dress at 25 and 45 days after sowing. Three irrigations and other intercultural operations were done as and when required.
The mustard was harvested on January 24, 2019 at Jashore and January 20, 2019 at Jamalpur. Data on yield and yield contributing characters were recorded and statistically analyzed. Statistics-10 was used to determine the significant differences between the treatments.
After mustard, mungbean was sown in the plots on January 27, 2019 at Jashore and January 24, 2019 at Jamalpur. After mungbean, jute was sown in the plots on April 02, 2019 at Jashore and March 29, 2019 at Jamalpur. For T. Aman rice, the variety BRRI dhan57 was used in experiment. Transplanting was done on 09 August 2019 at Jashore and 04 August 2019 at Jamalpur with a row to row spacing of 20 cm and plant to plant spacing of 15 cm.
