Tissue cultured jackfruit plants have been planted to see the field performance at RARS, Hathazari. Among the sixteen plants, ten plants produced fruits this year. Plant height was ranged from 3.35 m to 8.65 m. The base girth was 34.00 cm to 90.00 cm. Plant canopy at North-South was 3.17 m  to 7.00 m and at East-West was 3.10 m to 9.30 m. All the plants are in excellent growing condition.

The present experiment was undertaken to evaluate the tissue-cultured jackfruit at RARS, Hathazari.

The experiment was conducted at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Hathazari, Chattagram during 2017-2018. Saplings were produced and supplied from the Biotechnology Division of BARI in 2013. Plant spacing was 6x6 m. The individual plant was fertilized with cowdung (20 kg), urea (500 g), TSP (500 g), MP (500 g) and gypsum (250g) in two equal installments, one at the onset and the other at the end of the rainy season. Weeding, irrigation and other management practices were done as and when necessary

Sixteen tissue cultured jackfruit plants were planted at RARS, Hathazari during 2011-12. All cultural management was done as and when necessary.  Data on different physio-morphological, yield contributing and qualitative characters were taken in the current year. The highest plant height (8.65 m) was recorded from plant no. 05. The number of main branches was highest (17) in both plant no. 05 and 06 but lowest (2) in both plant no. 07 and 09, respectively. The highest (90 cm) and lowest (34 cm) base girth was observed in plant no. 03 and 15, respectively. The canopy was found highest in plant no. 03 (7 m X 9.30 m). The highest (9) no. of fruits was obtained from plant 07.  Highest (19.2 %) and lowest (16.3 %) TSS was recorded from plant no. 09 and 05, respectively.
