The experiment was conducted at Regional Agricultural Research Stations, Jessore, Jamalpur, Madaripur and Gazipur during Kharif-II season of 2016. Three Blackgram genotypes viz BBLX-06002-10, BBLX-07002-5 and 86337 with one check (BARI Mash-3) were evaluated. Considering locations the highest mean yield was found in BBLX-07002-5 (1234 kg/ha) followed by 86337 (1178 kg/ha).

Different genotypes of blackgram showed significant variation among the parameters except for days to flowering. The genotype BBLX-07002-5 matured earlier considering the location. The highest plant height was found in BBLX-07002-5 (67 cm) and the lowest in 86337 (53 cm) followed by BBLX-06002-10. The highest mean numbers of pods per plant were produced by 86337 (27) followed by BARI Mash 3 and the lowest in BBLX-07002-5 (25) followed by BARI Mash 3. The genotype BBLX-07002-5 gave the highest (5.27 g) 100 seed weight followed by BBLX-06002-10 and BARI Mash 3 and the lowest 100 seed weight was found in 86337 (4.56 g). The highest yield was found in BBLX-07002-5 (1233.5 kg/ha) followed by 86337 and the lowest yield was found in BARI Mash 3.
