BRRI multipurpose seed dryer was developed and tested. All participating farmers were satisfied on the performance of the newly developed dryer and wanted to purchase the dryer but the price offered by them was very low. Average customs hire service charge offered was Tk 5.00-70.00 per 40 kg of paddy. All farmers felt the necessity of seed dryer and 97% farmer opined in favor of operational safety of the dryer demonstrated.

Performance of the newly developed dryer got initial acceptance and wanted to purchase the dryer by the participating farmers in the demonstration. • Average customs hire service charge offered by the farmers was Tk 5.00-70.00 per 40 kg of paddy. Farmers felt the necessity of seed dryer and 97% farmer opined in favor of operational safety of the dryer demonstrated. This seed dryer was suitable for small amount of paddy (up to 50 kg).
