Sixteen advanced lines of Boro and Aus seasons were found promising against BPH and three genotypes of T. aman seasons and one genotypes of submergence tolerant were found promising against GLH.

A total of 118 entries, advance lines (106), genotypes for insect resistance –T. Aman (9) and submergence tolerant genotypes (3), were screened against BPH and GLH during 2011-12. The screening was done by seedling bulk test method in the BRRI greenhouse of Entomology Division.

Out of 106 advance lines (T. aman and Boro) 16 were found promising against BPH. Out of the nine genotypes for insect resistance-T. aman three were found promising against GLH. Out of the four submergence tolerant genotypes one was found promising against GLH.
