A field experiment was conducted at RARS, Rahmatpur, Barisal during late Rabi season of 2012-13 to evaluate mungbean genotypes/lines for higher yield and MYMV disease resistant. Thirty one entries and 2 varieties of mungbean were used following RCBD with three replications. The lines VC-3960-89, GK-24, ACC-12890083, VC-6144 (B-12), GK-26, VC-6960-88 and GK-65 were found disease free but low yielder. The line GK-40, GK-67, VC-2768 A and GK-63 also showed disease free with higher yield. The lines GK-40, GK-67, VC-2768A and GK-63 may be selected for PYT program.

To find out resistance source against MYMV.
The experiment was conducted at RARS, Rahmatpur, Barisal during late Rabi season of 2013. The trail was laid out in RCBD with three replications. A total of 31 entries were evaluated. Line sowing method was followed February, 2013. Data for various important plant parameters were taken from 10 randomly selected plants of each plot. Data of Mungbean yellow mosaic virus (MYMV) was scored 0-8 scoring scale according to Malik (1992) where, 0 = no infection, 1 = 1-5% plant parts infected (I), 2 = 6-10% plant parts infected (HR), 3 = 11-20% plant parts infected (R), 4 = 21-30% plant parts infected (MR), 5 = 31-40% plant parts infected (T), 6 = 41-50% plant parts infected (MT), 7 = 51-80% plant parts infected (S) and 8 = 81-100% plant parts infected (HS).
Annual Report
The tested blackgram variety/genotypes differed significantly from each other in respect of disease incidence and yield under field condition. The data presented in Table 1 showed that MYMV incidence ranged from 0-66% The highest % MYMV was observed in Sonamung (local check) and lines GK-40, GK-67, VC-2768 A, VC-3960-89, GK-24, ACC-12890083, VC-6144 (B-12), GK-26, VC-6960-88, VC-1658 A, GK-63 and GK-65 were found disease free. The yield ranged from 133-1904 kg ha-1. The highest yield was recorded in GK-40 followed by GK-67 (1559 hg ha-1) and GK-63 (1540 kg ha-1). The lines GK-40, GK-67, GK-63 and VC-2768 A were found disease free with higher yield. So, the lines GK-40, GK-67, GK-63 and VC-2768 A may be selected for PYT.
