A field experiment was conducted at RARS, Rahmatpur, Barisal during late Rabi season of 2012-13 to evaluate of mungbean genotypes/lines for higher yield and CLS disease resistant. Thirty three entries and 2 varieties of mungbean were used following RCBD with three replications. The lines ACC-12890032 gave the highest yield followed by VC-2768 A, VC-1719 A, VO-1207 (A-G) and ACC-12890071; the lowest yield was recorded in VC-1007 A. The highest Cercospora leaf spot was recorded in Sonamung (local check) and no disease was observed in ACC-12890071, VC-1719-A, VC-2768-A, ACC-12890032 and VO-1207 (A-G). So, the line ACC-12890071, VC-1719-A, VC-2768-A, ACC-12890032 and VO-1207 (A-G) may be selected for PYT.

To find out resistant source of mungbean against cercospora leaf spot
The experiment was conducted at RARS, Rahmatpur, Barisal during late Rabi season of 2013. The trail was laid out in RCBD with three replications. A total of 33 entries were evaluated under this trail. Seeds were sown by line sowing method in February 2013. Data for various important plant parameters were taken from 10 randomly selected plants of each plot. Data of Cercospora Leaf Spot (CLS) was scored 0-5 scoring scale according to Haque et al. (1994) where, 0 = no infection (HR) and 5 = 81-100% plant parts infected (HS).
Annual Report 2013
The tested mungbean variety/genotypes differed significantly from one to another in respect of disease and yield under field condition. Disease pressure was high due to planting of Sonamung (susceptible check) of every two entries. Yield ranged from 295.50-1487.00 kg ha-1. With the highest yield in ACC-12890032 followed by VC-2768 A, VC-1719 A, VO-1207 (A-G) and ACC-12890071 and the lowest yield was recorded in VC-1007 A. Incidence of Cercospora leaf spot ranged from 0-5. The highest CLS was recorded in Sonamung (local check) and disease was not appeared in ACC-12890071, VC-1719-A, VC-2768-A, ACC-12890032 and VO-1207 (A-G). The disease free five lines may be selected for next year PYT.
