An experiment was conducted to manage the common scab disease of potato as an integrated way in 2012 cropping year at field laboratory of Tuber Crop Research Centre, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur and Agriculture Research Station, Comilla. Eight treatments were tested against common scab disease of potato. Among the treatments, T3 (Seed treatment with 0.5% SBP before planting) and T6 (Soil application of SBP @ 25 kg/ha + Poultry refuse @ 5 t/ha + Seed treatment with 0.5% SBP) were found highly effective to reduce scab disease of potato at both locations. Treatment T5 (SBP @ 25 kg/ha +Poultry refuse @ 5 t/ha) had some synergistic effect on scab disease development of potato. Percent scab infected tuber was the highest in T5 of both locations and it was 44.17 at Gazipur and 28.77 at Comilla whereas 40.71 and 22.93 in control treatment of Gazipur and Comilla, respectively. The highest yields were recorded 33.11 t/ha from T3 at Gazipur and 31.20 t/ha from T2 at Comilla. Percent emergence was 100% or near of all the treatments of both locations.

To identify the effective treatments for the development of an IDM package against scab disease of potato.
An experiment was conducted to control scab disease of potato as an integrated way during 2012-13 cropping year at field laboratory of TCRC, Gazipur and ARS Comilla. Eight treatments were tested viz. T1= Use SBP @ 25 kg/ha before10 days of planting, T2 = Use poultry refuse @ 5 t/ha before 20 days of planting, T3 = Seed treatment with 0.5% SBP before planting, T4= Use of lime @ 150 kg/ha at final land preparation, T5= T1+T2, T6 = T1+T2+T3, T7 = T1+T2+T3+T4 and T8 = Control against scab diseases of potato. The experiment was done in irrigated condition (three irrigation, 1st at 10 DAP, 2nd at 30 DAP and 3rd at 62 DAP) and planting date was 27.11.2012. The size of unit plot was 9 m2 and line to line spacing was 60 cm and plant to plant spacing was 25 cm. The tested variety was Diamant and fertilizer and cultural operation was done following the guideline of TCRC. The design of the experiment was RCBD with three replications. Harvesting was done at 28.02.2013 and duration of crop was 91 day. Data on % emergence, % scab infection, number of tuber/plot, weight of tuber per plot and yield t/ha was recorded.
