Six treatments including control were tested against common virus diseases of potato at field laboratory of Tuber Crops Research Centre, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, Gazipur during 2012-13 cropping season. Among the tested treatments, T3 (Admire @ 0.05%) significantly reduced virus infection and increase in tuber yield. Second best treatments was T5 (Alternate spray of Admire and Neem seed oil) in terms of reduction of virus diseases. Treatment T1 (Rouging), T2 (Neem seed oil) and T5 (Alternate spray of Admire and Neem seed oil and Rouging) had some disease reduction effect but that was not significant.

Pest Management
To develop a good management package against virus diseases of potato.
An experiment was conducted to manage the virus diseases of potato as an integrated way during 2012-13 cropping year at field laboratory of TCRC, Gazipur and TCRSC Bogura. Six treatment was tested viz. T1= Rouging (Start rouging when virus infected plants seen), T2= Neem seed oil @ 0.5%, T3= sprayng with Admire 200 SL (Imidachorpid) @ 0.05%, T4= Alternate spray of Admire and Neem seed oil, T5 = T1+ T4 and T6 = Control against virus diseases of potato. The experiment was done in irrigated condition (three irrigation, 1st at 10 DAP, 2nd at 32 DAP and 3rd at 60 DAP) and planting date was 21.11.2012. First spray was done at 20.12.2012; interval was 10 days and frequency was six. The size of unit plot was 9 m2 and line to line spacing was 60 cm and plant to plant spacing was 25 cm. The variety was Diamant and fertilizer and cultural operation was done following the guideline of TCRC. First rouging was started at 35 DAP. The design of the experiment was RCBD one factor with three replications. Harvesting was done at 20.02.2013 and duration of crop was 89 day. Data on % emergence, % virus infection, % scab infection, % cutworm infestation, number of tuber/plot, weight of tuber per plot and yield t/ha was recorded.
