The wilt symptom was first detected in the seed which used as cut tuber of sole potato. The minimum wilt infection was recorded under intercropping as Kaon + Potato showing 3.33% wilt incidence and it was statistically similar to Barley + Potato and Wheat + Potato. The highest wilt incidence occurred in the plot where sole and cut tuber were sown. Significantly lower PDI was recorded under Barley +Potato intercropping and it was statistically similar to other intercrops. The yield per hectare under Maize + Potato and sole tuber was statistically similar but significantly lower compared to other intercrops.

Pest Management
To minimize the disease incidence and to improve the soil health against Ralstonia solanacearum by reducing the population in soil.
The experiment was executed in previously known infested soil at Comilla. The unit plot size was 3.0X 3.0 m. Seed tuber of potato variety, Dheera was used, Recommended doses of fertilizer was added in soil. The following intercrops were used as treatments:
T1 = Maize + Potato
T2 =Wheat +Potato
T3 = Barley +Potato
T4= Sorghum + Potato
T5= Kaon + Potato
T6= Sole Potato (Whole)
T7= Sole potato (cut)
Line to line and plant to plant spacing was maintained 60 and 25 cm, respectively. Within each line there were scope of planting 12 potato tubers. So for intercrops, each line was planted with eight potato tubers keeping one hill blank for inter crop after every two potato seeds. Except T6, cut tuber (single tuber into two equal halves) were used as planting material. Design was RCBD following three replications. Data were recorded on wilted plants (%), PDI (1-5 scale), tuber yield, non-host crop yield and PEY (potato equivalent yield). Data were analyzed statistically using DMRT.
