This study was done at IBT laboratory at Konabari, Gazipur and Jessore during September – November 2012 to determine the critical stage of Bracon hebetor transportation along with their packaging system. Highest number of live B. hebetor was recorded from mature pupal period transportation followed by adult stage. Lowest live B. hebetor was observed from immature pupal period transportation of B. hebetor. Plastic containers containing parasitised host larvae with Bracon hebetor should be packed in paper boxes for easy handling and transportation.

To develop a transportation technique of Trichogramma spp. parasitized eggs in vial for their effective field release.

This study was done at IPM laboratory, BARI and IBT laboratory at Konabari, Gazipur and Jessore during September – November 2012. Two hundred wax moths matured full-grown larvae were parasitised by 40 B. hebetor (3:1 male and female ratio) in a plastic container (200 larvae /bottle) with a corrugated paper sheet. After proper parasitism the parasitised larvae were transported according to the following treatments: T1: Transportation during immature pupal period of the parasitoid (8 days after parasitism), T2 : Transportation during mature pupal period of the parasitoid (12 days after parasitism) and T3: Transportation during adult stage (just after adult emergence).There were five replications of each treatment. The parasitoids (either in pupal or adult stage) were transported from Konabari, Gazipur via non-AC motorized vans (temperature 30°C±5°C) and received at IBT Lab., Jessore. The number of live parasitoids were counted and recorded there.
