The study was carried out in the laboratory of Entomology division, BARI during 2012-2013. Among the treatments Aluminum phosphide 57% (Phostoxin) tablet @ 4 tablets/ton seed provided the highest protection (2.73%) followed by Pirimiphos methyl (Actellic 50 EC) @ 20ml/L of water (3.03%). The results also indicated that Neem seed powder + Bracon hebetor provided 5.57% infestation which was significantly different from other treatments. No significance difference was observed in germination test.

Pest Management
To develop an IPM package for the management of C. chinensis (L.) in stored chickpea.
This study was carried out in the laboratory of Entomology division, BARI during 2012-2013. Chickpea seeds were collected from Pulse Research Sub-center, BARI, Gazipur. Seven treatments were assigned in completely randomized design with three replications. The treatments were as follows: T1: 50% seed + 50% dry sand; T2: Neem seed powder @ 10g/Kg seed + Bracon hebetor @ 1 pair/Kg seed; T3: Bracon hebetor@ 1 pair/ Kg seed; T4: Pirimiphos-methyl (Actellic 50 EC) @ 20ml/ L of water; T5: Alluminium phosphide 57% (Phostoxin) @ 4 tablets /ton seed; T6: Neem seed powder @ 10g/Kg seed and T7: Untreated control. Data on per cent infestation by number and weight, per cent germination were recorded. To estimate the per cent infestation, samples were taken from each bag at an interval of 90 days 120 days and 140 days of storage. At each sampling 100g seeds were taken from 3 different places of each bag (top, middle and bottom). From each sample 100 grains were counted and separated randomly. Out of 100 grains bored and healthy grains by number and weight were recorded and the per cent infestation by number and weight were computed. Germination test was done by taking 25 chickpea seeds at random from each bag and replicated 3 times.
