To Find Out the Effect of Rpm Variation on Twist of All Jute Yarn of 138 Tex (4 Lbs/spy) in Modified Apron Draft Spinning Frame.

Abstract/ Executive Summary:

In this experiment, effect of rpm variation on twist of yarn along with its different speeds was studied. From this study, it was noted that with the changes of speeds, twist varied. The yarn spun at 7000 rpm with TCP-50 attained an actual twist level of 6.34 tpi relatively nearer to the set level of twist (8.16-tpi) than those in other cases. Thsi is slightly better result in comparison to others. As this iss the new experiment, more trails will be needed to find out accurate effect of spindles speeds on the twist of fine yarn with maximum productivity.

Objectives:

Spinning of finer count all-jute yarn with acceptable quality/properties and productivity in modified apron draft spinning frame.

Methodology:

a) The modified apron draft ring spinning frame will be operated with different spindle speeds along with different levels of twist. The effect of various spindle rpm with various twist on yarn will be observed. b) The range of wxisting spindle speed is from 5000 rpm to 8000 rpm. The yarn of 138 tex (4 lbs/spy) will be produced at the speed of 5000 rpm, 6000 rpm, 7000 rpm & 8000 rpm on same twist. c) Effect of twist, rpm on the properties of yarn will be analyzed by Shirley twist tester and Instron machine.

Achievement/Findings:

Determination of the level of balanced twist in all jute yarn of 138 tex with maximum productivity. The produced yarn will thus be used in manufacturing furnishing fabrics replacing cotton and synthetic yarns to increase the diversified uses of jute.
