Financial Analysis of Albizia Richardiana (rajkoroi/chambal) Plantations in Bangladesh Forest Research Institute

Abstract/ Executive Summary:

A study was conducted in Barisal ,Bagerhat, Faridpur and Patuakhali social forest divisions for the determination of financially optimum rotation age of ragkoroi tree species in considering their existing mixed and mono plantations. Collected information on rajkoroi species in the plantations raised during 1977-78 to 2000-01 in different forest divisions were selected for the financial analysis. In the results of financial analysis, plantation rotation age of 20 years was found financially profitable regarding financial all most all parameters for the plantation of rajkori tree species.

Methodology:

A study was conducted in Barisal ,Bagerhat, Faridpur and Patuakhali social forest divisions for the determination of financially optimum rotation age of ragkoroi tree species in considering their existing mixed and mono plantations. Collected information on rajkoroi species in the plantations raised during 1977-78 to 2000-01 in different forest divisions were selected for the financial analysis. Simple Random Sampling was followed on the year basis plantations where related species was available in the selected mixed or mono plantations of different forest divisions.
