Reducing of Hairiness of Ring Spun Fine Jute Yarn by Additional of Moisture During Spinning.

Abstract/ Executive Summary:

Design and drawing of system was completed. Materials were purchased for fabrication the required system. The fabricated water tray was fitted after the delivery roller of the machine. Initially yarn were produced without adding moisture. Later it was produced by addition of moisture. Hairiness of produced yarns was measured.the

Objectives:

Minimization of hairiness of fine jute yarn.

Methodology:

Design and drawing of a system for reducing hairiness of ring spun jute yarns has been completed. Materials needed for fabricating the system need to be purchased. After fabricating the component the following procedure will be allowed. a) A water tray will be fitted after delivery roller of Apron Draft spinning frame. b) To produce the the different type of yarn by using quality of jute fibre. c) Assessment of hairiness level of yarn produces by the modified ring spinning machine.

Achievement/Findings:

It was found that in dry spinning system, yarn contain 2.96 hairs per inch on the other hand yarn contains 2.2 hairs/inch in addition of moisture during spinning. In wet processing hairiness is reduced by 25.67%. The reason behind it, the floating fibres are concentrated and oriented to the center of yarn during spinning.
