There were five different aged seed tuber after releasing from cold storage (Where T1 = 1 days after, T2 = 8 days after, T3 = 15 days after, T4 = 22 days after and T5 = 29 days after releasing from cold storage) was used in this experiment. Maximum sprouting aged tuber gave the highest yield may be due to formation of stolon earlier.

To find out the suitable sprouting age of potato to compensate late planting.

The experiment was conducted at BSPC, Dibiganj, Panchagarh with the potato variety Granola. It consisted of five treatments were five different age of sprouted seed tuber were used. The treatments were as follows: T1 = 1 day after T2 = 8 days after, T3 = 15 days after, T4 = 22 days after and T5 = 29 days after releasing from cold storage. The experiment was laid out in RCBD with three replications. The unit plot size was 4 x 6 m. The seeds were planted on November 23, 2008. Fertilizers were used as per recommendation dose of TCRC (Urea 350 dg/ha, TSP 220 kg/ha, MP 260 kg/ha, Gypsum 120 kg/ha and cow dung 10 t/ha). Data were taken on yield and relative parameters.
