To identify the suitable healing agent for cut tuber that can protect the surface of cut tuber against disease contamination ultimately allowing a desired tuber yield.

The experiment was conducted at BSPC, BARI, Debigonj, Panchagarh with the potato variety Granola. Five treatments with different curing agents (T1 = controls, T2 = Ash, T3 = Savlon (1%), T4 = Jet (1%) and T5 = Clorox (1%). It was laid out in RCBD with three replications. The unit plot size was 4.0 x 6.0 m. The tuber was treated with curing agent before planted. The seed was planted on November 13, 2008. Manures and NPK fertilizers were applied as per recommendation of TCRC (Urea 350 kg/ha, TSP 220 kg/ha, MP 260 kg/ha, Gypsum 120 kg/ha and cow dung 10/ha). Data on different parameters were taken.
