Variety and Species
The experiment was sown in a mini plot of 3 meter length of 5 rows for each accession. Row to row distance was 30 and plant to plant distance was 5-6 cm in rows. The unit plot size was 3m x 1.2 m for each accession and plot to plot distance was 1 meter. The accessions were sown in 09 April, 2011 with check varieties O-9897 and BJRI Tossa pat-4. Other standard cultural and intercultural practices were followed. Pigmentation data were collected at 60 days after sowing. Plants were harvested at 120 days after sowing and post harvest data were collected. Forty seven accessions 1264, 1267, 1331, 1344, 1346, 1355, 1522, 1541, 1804, 1805, 1806, 2018, 2027, 2028, 3705, 3713, 3725, 3726, 3728, 3730, 3731, 3732, 3734, 3735, 3736, 3754, 3756, 3766, 3768, 3769, 4738, 4739, 4740, 4845, 4848, 5001, 5008, 5009, 5133, 5138, 5139, 5142, 5146, 5149, 5150, 5155 and 5159 were characterized.
