New fungicides were tested at four locations such as, BSPC, Debigonj, RARS, Jamalpur, TCRSC, Munshiganj and TCRSC, Bogra to evaluate their efficacy in reducing late blight disease of potato. Diamant variety was used as planting material. In Jamalpur, twenty two fungicides viz. Ashazeb 80 WP, Baizeb 80 WP, Amagold 72 WP, Oposh 80 WP, Supermil, Baicopper 50 WP, I-zeb 80 WP, One-M-45, Bithan M-45, One-myl 72 WP, Amcoxyl 72 WP, Sedomyl 72 WP, BGM Special, Bicoril 72 WP, Medumyl 72 WP, Tyzeb 80 WP, Hamcozeb 80 WP, Cuprasat gold 72 WP, Monozeb 80 WP, Towin 50 WP, Perfectman 80 WP, Melodumye 72 WP and Ridomil gold (Chek) were used at the rate of 0.2%. In Debiganj, eleven fungicides viz. secure (0.1%), Dithane M-45 (0.2%) E-Zeb (0.2%) Merry (0.2%) Helen (0.2%); Delight (0.2%), Hyprodion (0.2%), Standard (0.2%), Goldman (0.2%), Freshzeb (0.2%) and Pure mortal (0.2%) were used in this study. In Bogra, eleven new fungicides namely Delight, EZEB, Standard Gold, Supermil, Cuprosate, Gold, Sedomil, Bithan M -45, Rexizeb, Mortal, Hyprodione and BGM Special were used at the rate of 0.2%. In Munshiganj, fifteen fungicides viz, Ricozed 80 WP, I-Zeb 80 WP, Medumyl 72 WP, Monozeb 80 WP, Tyzeb 80 WP, Relux 72 WP, One Zeb 80 WP, Meta Gold 80 WP, Mancoz 80 WP, Helen 72 WP, Goldman 80 WP, Standard Gold 80 WP, Ezeb 80 WP, Hamcozeb 80 WP and Merry 80 WP were used at the rate of 0.2% in this field study. Three times spray were done at 10 days interval and initiated just after onset the disease symptom. Data on disease severity (1-9 scale) and also percent foliage infection was taken.
