Three genotypes were evaluated under field condition at Joydebpur, Jamalpur and Munshiganj. The highest dry yield was given by SP-613 (11.08 t/ha), closely followed by SP-609 (11.01 t/ha). This experiment may be repeated next year

To select high yielder, high dry fleshed and moderate carotene containing hybrid clones

The study was carried out at Joydebpur during the sweet potato growing season of 2007-2008. The experiment was comprised of 3 genotypes obtained through hybridization including check BARI SP-4 and BARI SP-5. The vines were planted on 8th November, 2007 in the field following randomized complete block design with three replications. The unit plot size was 3.0 x 3.0 m and the vines were spaced at 60 x 30 cm. There were fifty vines in each plot. The crop was harvested on April 2, 2008. Ten plants were harvested from each plot. Data were recorded on yield contributing characters and were analyzed statistically.
