The effect of piling on deterioration of strength of jut fibres was studied. Thus bundle strength and bursting energy of bottom, middle and top portion of jute of the varieties of BWB, Dhabdhabey Pat and CV-I were determined. It is observed that the deterioration of strength on piling is the highest in case of middle portion of jute of BWB. It is also observed that the effect of piling deterioration of strength is the highest in case the grade BWB among the three sample of BWB, Dhabdhabey Pat and CV-I.

To determine the optimum piling condition for different grades of jute fiber.

Collection of samples: Samples were collected from the Experimental Spinning Mill and BJRI (Agriculture). Thus, sample BWB was collected from Experimental Spinning Mill whereas samples of CVL-I and Dhabdhabey Pat were collected from manikgonj farm of BJRI (Agriculture).All these varieties of jute were than divided into several parts for determining their fineness, Bundle strength and bursting energy before and after piling.

It is found from the observation that in each case of fiber strength was deteriorated after being piling. It is observed with BWB that the effect of piling of deteriorated of strength is the highest in case of middle portion of jute compared to those of bottom and top portions. It is also observed that the determination of strength is higher in the case of BWB and lower in Dhabdhabey and CV-I .However as the number of samples were few so concrete decision is not possible with this results.
