Now a day the external symptom of Zinc has been observed in many tea growing areas. Experience gathered from fields of different tea estate reveals that response of foliar application of Zinc is satisfactory in respect of yield. The arising situation indicates that Zinc deficiency may be in an increasing order. In this view, the necessary of setting up zinc experiment is thought essential for Bangladesh tea Industry. he trend of result shows that the application of the highest doses of zinc has got positive response on the yield. The experiment was continued for years(a pruning cycle). The highest yield was recorded in T4, where zinc was applied @ 12 kg/ha.

To know the effect of Zinc on the yield of tea

Treatments: 4, Replication: 3, Design: RBD, Total No. of plot: 12, Treatment combination: T1 = Control (no Zinc) + usual fertilizer, T2 = 4kg/ha ZnSO4 + usual fertilizer, T3 = 8 kg/ha ZnSO4 + usual fertilizer, T4 = 12 kg/ha ZnSO4 + usual fertilizer

The trend of result shows that the application of the highest doses of zinc has got positive response on the yield. The experiment was continued for years(a pruning cycle). The highest yield was recorded in T4, where zinc was applied @ 12 kg/ha.
