The experiment was conducted during the year 1999-2000 at Bangladesh Jute Research Institute Dhaka, Jute Waste Processing Department to use jute Geo-textile. Six different types of Jute Geo-textiles using different solutions assimilating environmental conditions of our village were continued and found that:- 1. Experiments on various solutions of six types of jute Geo-textiles samples are in progress.2. Movable irrigation liner has successfully been developed which not only save agricultural land but also total amount of water is carried to command area.3. Rubberized hessian cloth is by far the best irrigation which saved 47.76% water.

To use  jute in different development projects as geotextile materials.

The methods for the production of different kinds of Jute Geotextiles were the same which was stated in the technical report in 1998. The experiments of six different types of Jute Geotextiles using different solutions assimilating environmental conditions of our village were continued. In addition to the above work we have successfully developed irrigation liners made of dried jute ribbon modifying them with various chemicals. The trial experiments with the modified irrigation liners were done in the irrigation canals of Jaigir,Manikgonj. We have treated special types of carpet backing cloth with resin and made movable water carrying channel.

It is observed that rubber treated hessian cloth used in the bear (earthen) channel saved 47.76% water followed by greese treated Geotextile mat which saved 22.42% water. Now our main attention is to use rubber treated hessian cloth in the water channel. And we have already planned to develop 600 feet rubber treated hessian with the help of Bangladesh rubber industries at Tejgaon Industrial Area.
